On July 4, 2026, at approximately 8:58 a.m., an officer from the Statesboro Police Department patrolled the area of Church Street in Statesboro, Georgia. The officer noticed an open door and a backpack on the front porch of 217 Church Street. A male individual stepped out of the house and claimed not to know who the bag belonged to.
Shortly after, another male individual from 219 Church Street approached and stated that the bag was his. A check through the National Crime Information Center and the Georgia Crime Information Center revealed that the individual had an active warrant from the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office.
